About LionVolt:

LionVolt is a deep-tech start-up working on a revolutionary battery using a 3D anode architecture that will boost battery performance, and by doing so bring an important contribution to achieving global net zero goals. Our Mission is to develop and scale 3D batteries to deliver the highest performance, fastest charging, safest, and most sustainable battery solutions. This is enabled by the combination of our novel 3D battery architecture, with unique coating processes for the various materials in the battery stack. Our dream is to start work on a Giga factory within five years, targeting the fast-growing battery industry.

Our multinational and highly diverse team consists of 40 people across multiple locations. Our innovation centre is based at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, a leading European innovation hub, and we have our cell manufacturing facility in Scotland.  In addition, we are expanding our manufacturing capacity with a new production line at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven, giving us everything we need to realise our innovation. To support this exciting next step, we are looking for a Production Technician to help advance our technology.

 

This is How you can contribute:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Production Technician who will be responsible for the production of cathode materials within our Scottish Production Environment.

This person may be asked to assist in several other projects within the Scottish facility and LionVolt in general.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Placing health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards.
  • Operate large reel to reel coating and calendering machines to manufacture cathode materials for use with next generation li-ion and sodium ion battery cells.
  • Undertake in line and laboratory-based quality assurance measurements to ensure compliance with design and manufacturing standards.
  • Diagnose faults and support maintenance on the cathode coating and calendering equipment.
  • Work within a team that includes slurry mixing and battery cell build specialists as well as supporting electrochemist and materials scientists.
  • Support continuous improvement by logging non compliances and providing feedback through online processes.
  • Support and learn from the wider international team.

  • You are a team player who has drive and ambition and wants to be part of an exciting international start-up.
  • Experienced in a production environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Motivated and willing to learn new technologies (full training will be provided)
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
