Physiotherapist
We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join our dynamic physiotherapy team. We are looking for a senior physiotherapist with skills that can provide whole person approach to physiotherapy for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, across all four pillars of their practice. This post will be predominantly inpatient based working across acute medical admissions and rehabilitation wards in Caithness General Hospital as well as required cover to A+E. This post also covers assessment and treatment of patients in the outpatient setting who have chronic respiratory conditions and neurological conditions and may include providing support to other physiotherapy specialities within the team, as required, based on service need. You must be able to provide a high standard of care, providing specialised advice regarding variety of acute, neurological and respiratory conditions and provide treatment plans to support patient care.
You must also demonstrate you can –
- Participate in service development.
- Provide clinical supervision, support, training and delegation and training to Band 5 physiotherapists, students, and physiotherapy assistants.
- Manage patient care as part of a wider collaborative team: including GP’s, Occupational therapists, specialist consultants etc.
- Have active participation in own clinical and service development within protected learning time and engage with non-clinical activities. Including regular Inservice training, service development and quality improvement and leadership.

This is a fixed term, part-time post of 36 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday. This post is covering a period of maternity leave to 27th February 2026.
