The People Advisor will bring connections to wider business enterprise partners, exciting opportunities to be a key part of setting up new processes for the site and you will be working with an established and trusted team.
HR presence on site is key to achieving the opportunities we strive for as a successful team. This role will be largely based at the Rolls Royce site in Thurso, Caithness which offers a unique coastal working base. You will be a fully integrated member of the HR function but have unique autonomy (due to the remoteness of the site) with support and guidance given from the team in Raynesway, Derbyshire.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
This role will be critical as we move forward with exciting opportunities and development being planned. HR in all business areas play a key part of uniting teams, ensuring integrity and supporting all colleagues to be at their best to deliver. HR team members are valued within this business and you will be empowered to have a voice in most settings.
With this attractive HR opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Provide effective HR support to business managers ensuring business needs are met in line with Company HR policies and processes.
- Support local deployment of Company HR processes such as Absence Management, Performance Management, Reward Review, Role grading, Salary policy and Career Development Framework activities.
- Escalation management of GBS cases (HR Shared Service).
- Work with our union team to ensure understanding of site/location concerns which impact our people.
- Maintaining relationships with the HR team in Derby
