Staff Nurses

Cambusavie Unit at the Lawson Memorial Hospital, is a 16-bedded GP acute and rehabilitation Unit, situated in Golspie in the heart of Sutherland.  We cater for patients from the local area requiring medical management and/or work with our physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated registered adult nurses to join our team. As a staff nurse at Cambusavie Unit, you will be developing and implementing evidence based care in collaboration with patients and their families, co-ordinating that care and working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.  You will liaise with and work on discharge planning to return patients to their own homes in the community.  You will lead a team of care workers in delivering high quality care to our patients and get an opportunity to foster and grow your nursing skills.

The ideal candidates will be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the multi-disciplinary team and with patients and families.  They will be able to manage their time and caseload, prioritise effectively and utilise resources and staff efficiently and work in an environment with competing demands. They will have experience or a desire to work within a community hospital, experience in working with GP acute and/or rehab patients before is desirable but not necessary.

They will need to be able to work within NHS Highland’s policies and procedures and within the NMC code of Professional Conduct.  Applicants must have a valid UK NMC Registration.

These are full or part-time permanent posts, working rotational contracts in accordance with service requirements..
