MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Hugh Simpson (Contractors) Ltd. is the largest crane hire and heavy lifting services company based in Caithness.
We are recruiting an MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT to join our team. This is a full time position and available for immediate start.
Working hours can be discussed with suitable candidates.
Duties will include:
• Communicating and interpreting financial data to management
• Prepare management information, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators, identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
• Submit VAT returns
• Supervising the internal accounting team
• Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
We expect you to have:
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or Part Qualified.
• Experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
Initial training and continuous support in using specific programmes and software will be provided to help the right person get up to speed on unfamiliar systems.
