Painter
Blargoans Ltd have a 12 month contract opportunity for a Painter to work within our Client’s facility in Caithness.
The purpose of the post is to provide a painting service to site, the individual will paint buildings and related structures.
Main Responsibilities
Tasks include, but will not be limited to:
- Preparation and applying finishes to domestic surfaces (timber, plasterboard etc)
- Preparation and applying finishes to industrial surfaces (cladding, sheeting, steelwork etc)
- Correct storage, transport and use of chemicals, as above
- Providing technical advice on appropriate finishes and treatments
- Undertake general painting including preparation
- Installation of roofing membranes
- Control and complete work orders
- Maintain and review stock levels
- Carry out other non trade tasks as identified by supervisor
- Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the post
Desirable Attributes and Experience
- Time served painter with relevant experience
- Post specific capability analysis assessment or contact our Agency for copy

We have an in-house team of trades dedicated to the maintenance of the site buildings and also supporting Projects across the estate. The successful candidate should have a flexible, proactive approach, have a good work ethic and be able to contribute to the team, willing to work overtime to address a significant and diverse workload. Good communication skills are necessary, safety conscious, and able to follow a Permit-to Work system. Familiarity with Risk Assessments, COSHH, and other safety related paperwork would be advantageous.
Terms and Conditions
Basic Annual Income – £30,481 to £39,031 overtime rates apply as standard.
37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non working day.
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays.
12 Month Contract
